MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PETITION 68-8-2-20 (Waiver Use)
SECTION 1)4, CITY OF LIVONIA
On January 8, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at approximately 7:15 P. M. Present--Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Robert E.
McCann, and Robert F. Nash. Absent--Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, and Edward G.
Milligan.
The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public
Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance
No. 543, the City Council is opening a Public Hearing on a "Waiver of Use" petition
submitted by Chick-N-Joy Systems, Inc., requesting permission to construct a carry-out
restaurant as a waiver use on property zoned C-2 and located on the north side of
Five Mile Road between Merriman and Middlebelt Roads in the s. w. 1/4 of Section 14
of the City of Livonia.
The President read a letter from William R. Brashear of the law firm of
Brashear, Brashear, Mies and Duggan, dated December 23, 1968, which stated that their
client, Chick-N-Joy Systems, Inc. has withdrawn the above "Waiver of Use" petition
and wish to proceed no further in the matter of their appeal from the Planning Com-
mission's decision of denial.
There was no one in the audience regarding the above petition.
The public hearing was declared closed at 7:16 P. M., January 8, 1969.
