MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On February 26, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilman Nash at
7:15 P. M. Present--Robert F. Nash, Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, and Edward G.
Milligan. Absent--Edward H. McNamara. Rudolf R. Kleinert, and Robert E. McCann.
Councilman Nash stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
Petition No. 68-4-1-9 submitted by Nelson Dembs for a change of zoning on
property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road, East of Merriman, in the N. W.
1/4 of Section 11 from R-5 to R-7.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Petition No. 68-10-6-11 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion to amend the Zoning Ordinance by deleting Section 4.02 (g) relating to
church or public building bulletin boards.
There were no comments from the audience regarding the above petition.
The public hearing was declared closed at 7:30 P. M., February 26, 1969
