MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
On February 26, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at approximately 8:02 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash,
and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Rudolf R. Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara, and
Jack Salvadore.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is hold-
ing a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance.
There were approximately 125 people in the audience.
Petition 67-7-1-28 as amended, submitted by Brashear, Brashear, Mies and
Duggan, attorneys for Tony and Antoinette Rossi and Arthur and Jean Noggle, for a
change of zoning in Section 15 from R-1 to C-1.
Mr. James Mies spoke in behalf of the petitioner. There were no comments
from the audience regarding this petition.
Petition 67-8-1-31 submitted by Brashear, Brashear, Mies and Duggan, attorneys
for Abe Green, Aubrey H. Ettenheimer, Leonard R. Farber, Howard Binkow and Rose-Hill
Investment Company, for a change of zoning in Section 31 from R-1 and C-1 to C-2 and R-7
Mr. James Mies spoke in behalf of the petitioner
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
At this point all of the people in the audience left the hearing with the

Petition 67-9-6-6 as amended, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion to amend Sections 10.02 and 11.03 (c) of Ordinance No. 543, so as to provide
regulations pertaining to restaurants.
There were no comments from the audience regarding the above petition.
Petition 67-10-1-35, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion
for a change of zoning in Section 13 from RUF to C-l.
There were no comments from the audience regarding the above petition.
Petition 67-10-1-36 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion
for a change of zoning in Section 31 from RUF to C-1.
There were no comments from the audience regarding the above petition.
The public hearing was declared closed at approximately 10:10 P. M.,
Frbruary 26, 1968.
