MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TWO ZONING PETITIONS
On January 8, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the
Council at approximately 7:39 P. M. Present--*Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert,
Edward H. McNamara, *Jerry Raymond, and Robert F. Nash. Absent--Jack Salvadore and
Edward G. Milligan.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is hold-
ing a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance.
There were approximately twenty people in the audience.
Petition 67-8-1-29, submitted by Brashear, Brashear, Mies and Duggan, attorneys
for Michael and Vivian C. Berry, 232 N. Vernon, Dearborn, Michigan, for a change of
zoning in Section 32 from C-1 to R-7.
Councilman Ventura arrived at 7:45 P. M. , and Councilman Raymond arrived
at 7:50 P. M.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Petition 67-9-6-5, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion
to amend Section 18.45 (b), Protective Walls, of Ordinance No. 543 so as to increase the
cash bond requirement from $12.00 to $24.00 per lineal foot of wall.
There were no objections to the petition. Comments are on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 8:28 P. M., January 8, 1968.
