MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY RELATIVE TO INSTALLING
STREET LIGHTS IN THE FRANKLIN SQUARE APARTMENT SITE
On September 13, 1967, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at approximately 8:05 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Edward H. McNamara,
Jerry Raymond, Jack Salvadore, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Rudolf R. Kleinert
and Robert F. Nash.
The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401,
as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making
of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a
Special Assessment Procedure", and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing
duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance No. 401,
as amended, the City Council was opening a public hearing for the purpose of deter-
mining the necessity for the installation of ornamental street lighting with under-
ground wiring on Lancaster, Cavour and Garden Avenues in the Franklin Square Apartment
Site located in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13 of the City of Livonia.
There were three people in the audience.
Mr. Edwin Kivela, Representative of the Detroit Edison Company, was present
in order to answer questions concerning the installation of lights.
A transcript of the hearing is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at approximately 8:12 P. M.,
September 13, 1967.
