MINUTES OF THE ONE HUNDRED TWELFTH SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on June 2, 1967, at the corner of Lyndon and Flamingo, in
the City of Livonia, and was called to order by the President of the Council at
approximately 7:15 P. M.. Roll was called with the following result: Present--
Peter A. Ventura, Edward H. McNamara, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash,, Jack Salvadore,
and Rudolf R. Kleinert. Absent--Edward G. Milligan.
Elected and appointed officials present: Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk;
Albert W. Easton, II, Assistant City Attorney; Robert A. Shaw, Director of Public
Works; William J. Strasser, City Engineer; Mr. John Hiltz and Mr. E. Orchard,
Consulting Engineers.
LBy Councilman Raymond, seconded by Councilman Nash, and unanimously adopt-
ed, it was
#560-67 RESOLVED, that after hearing the several complaints of citizens
in the area of Lyndon Avenue and Flamingo Avenue, at which place drain
and street construction is presently in progress, the Council does hereby
respectfully request that the Director of the Department of Public Works,
the City Engineer, the Consulting Engineer and the various other depart-
ments involved, complete said public improvement with the utmost speed
and reduce inconvenience to the residents in the area to a minimum.
By Councilman McNamara, seconded by Councilman Nash, and unanimously adopt-
ed, it was
#561-67 RESOLVED, that having considered a verbal request of the Golfview
Meadows Civic Association, the Council does hereby grant permission to
said association and its members to conduct a street dance on Ronnie Lane,
between Southampton and Oakdale on Saturday eventtg June 17, 1967 between
the hours of 8:30 P. M. and 1:30 A.M., subject to the approval of the
Director of Public Safety.
By Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Salvadore, and unanimously adopt-
Led, this 112th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia, was duly
adjourned at 7:40 P. M., June 2, 1967.
