MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
On October 26, 1966, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at approximately 8:13 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert,
*Edward H. McNamara, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--
Jack Salvadore.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is hold-
ing a public hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within the City.
There were approximately fifteen people present for the hearings.
Petition 66-5-1-11, initiated by the City Planning Commission, for change
of zoning in Section 27 from RUF to M-l.
Don Hull explained the petition. There were no comments from the audience.
Petition 66-6-1-12, submitted by Rev. Lyle Adams, President of Middlebelt
Nursing Centre, Inc., for change of zoning in Section 24 from RUF to PS.
*Councilman McNamara entered the hearing at 8:25 P. M.
Rev. Adams spoke on his behalf. There were no comments from the audience.
Petition 66-6-1-13, submitted by Harry B. Wright for Mrs. Finkell and
Mr. & Mrs. Wright, for change of zoning in Section 11--Parcel Bla from R1A to C-2
for a general commercial development and Parcel Blb from R1A to R-7 for a multiple
housing development.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
There being no further comments, the public hearing was declared closed at
approximately 9:23 P. M., October 26, 1966. ✓6

PUBLIC HEARING
October 26, 1966
Proposed Budget for the Period Beginning
December 1, 1966 to November 30, 1967
Pursuant to Section 4 and 5, Chapter VIII of the Charter of the City of
Livonia, a Public Hearing was held on October 26, 1966, at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, on the proposed budget of the City of Livonia for the
year commencing December 1, 1966, and ending November 30, 1967. The public hearing
was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 9:30 P. M.
Members present were: Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara,
Jerry Raymond, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent: Robert F. Nash and Jack Salvadore.
The City Clerk presented to the Council satisfactory evidence that proper
notice of this public hearing had been duly published at least one week in advance
of such hearing by the City Clerk in the Livonia-Observer, the official newspaper,
and that there had been full compliance with the provisions of the City Charter.
Due consideration was given by the Council to comments on the proposed
budget.
The President declared the public hearing closed at approximately 9:45 P. M.,
October 26, 1966.
