MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
On November 22, 1965, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilman McNamara,
who acted as Chairman, at approximately 7:40 p. m. Present--Edward H. McNamara,
Peter A. Ventura, Charles J. Pinto, Edward G. Milligan. Absent--John F. Dooley,
Rudolf R. Kleinert, James R. McCann.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes
and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act. (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia held
a public hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within the City.
Petition No. 65-8-1-22, for change of zoning in Section 28 from RUF to
M-1. There were no objectors at the public hearing relative to this petition.
Petition No. 65-8-1-23, for change of zoning in Section 29 from M-1 to
C-2, submitted by L. S. Burton of Burton-Share, Inc. Comments from an interested
person were given due consideration by the Council.
Councilman John F. Dooley arrived at the public hearing at 7:55 p. m.
Petition No. 65-8-1-20, for change of zoning in Section 25 from R-1 to
M-l.
President Kleinert arrived at the meeting at 8 15 p. m. and thereafter
presided over the balance of the meeting.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera-
tion by the Council.

Petition No. 65-8-1-4, for change of zoning in Section 1 from RUF to C-i,
as amended by Planning Commission Resolution #8-156-65, submitted by Harvey Bielfield
of Harben Realty Company.

Comments by an interested person were given due consideration by the
Council.
There being no further comments, the public hearing was declared closed at
approximately 8:50 p. m. , November 22, 1965.
