MINUTES OF THE SEVENTIETH SPECIAL MEETINI OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on January 15, 1962, at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia,
Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the Council at approxi-
mately 8:30 P. M. Roll was called with the following result: Present-- Jack
Salvadore, James R. McCann, Austin T. Grant and Rudolf R. Kleinert. Absent-- John
T. Daugherty, Sydney B. Bagnall and William N. Ponder.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Grant, it was
#43-62 RESOLVED that, having considered the report and recommendation
of the Chief City Engineer, dated January 12, 1962, approved by the Mayor
and Director of Public works, in regard to bids received for the installa-
tion of a water main on Purlingbrook Avenue, north of Seven Mile Road,
and having considered also the tabulation of such bids attached thereto,
which tabulation is made a part of this resolution by this reference,
the Council does hereby accept the bid of Northland Excavating Company,
25120 Muerland, Southfield, Michigan, for the total submitted price of
$7,04.65 for the above referenced water main installation as set out
in the above referred to tabulation sheet, such ha.vingb een in fact the
lowest bid received for this item; and the Mayor and City Clerk are
herein authorized to sign a contract for and on behalf of the City of
Livonia, and to do all other things necessary or incidental to the full
performance of this resolution.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result:
AYES: McCann, Grant, Kleinert and Salvadore.
NAYS: None.
On motion of Councilman McCann, seconded by Councilman Kleinert and
unanimously adopted, this 70th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of
Livonia was duly adjourned at 8:33 P. M., January 15, 1962.
