MUTES OF THE FIFTY-FIRST SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on January 22, 1960, at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia,
Michigan, and was called to order by the President at approximately 9:05 P. M.
Roll was called with the f ollowing result: Present-- Austin T. Grant, James R.
McCann: Robert Sasser, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Sydney B. Bagnall and Jack Salvadore.
Absent Frank O'Neill.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Sasser, it was
#211-60 RESOLVED that, the City Attorney be and hereby is directed to
prepare the necessary Charter Amendment to provide for a five (5) man
Civil Service Commission with 5-year terms, alternating appointments by
the Mayor and Council, to be submitted to the Council at the meeting of
February 1, 1960.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result:
AYES: McCann, Sasser, Kleinert, Bagnall and Salvadore.
NAYS: Grant.
The President declared tyre resolution adopted.
By Councilman Sasser, seconded by Councilman Bagnall and unanimously
adopted, it was
#25.60 RESOLVED that, regular meetings of the Council be held on the
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 22nd of February, 1960.
On motion of Councilman Bagnall, seconded by Councilman Kleinert and
unanimously adopted, this 51st special meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia
was duly adjourned at 9:15 P. M., January 22, 1960.
