Page 1429 MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED ONE HUNDRED FIFTEENTH 11:11 REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA On April 7, 1954, the above meeting was held at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order at approximately 8:10 P M , by the President of the Council, Harry S Wolfe Roll was Palled with the following result: Present-- Harry S Wolfe, Wilson W Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, John W Whitehead, and Nettie Carey Absent-- Harold Bower and William J. Taylor. By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Whitehead and unanimously adopted, it was #990 RESOLVED, that the hour of 8:10 P. M., having arrived, the City Clerk is requested to open all sealed bids received for the purchase of $1,500,000.00 Water Supply System Revenue Borris, Series B, of the City of Livonia The City Clerk thereupon opened and read the following bids: Bidder Maturity Interest Rate Premium H V. AND WHEREAS, said bids have been publicly opened and read; AND WHEREAS, the following bids have been received. AYES: Grimm, Edgar, Whitehead, Carey and Wolfe NAYS None At 8:20 P M., President Wolfe called a twenty minute recess, following which the meeting was resumed with all members present who were named as present in the original roll call of this meeting, together with Councilman Bower who arrived during the receds. J F Ferry Merriman Subdivision No. 1, located in part of the northwest quarter of Section 35, Town 1 South, Range 9 East, City of Livonia, Wayne County, Michigan, and it appearing that tentative approval of said proposed plat was given by the City Planning Commission under date of November 17, 1953, and it further appearing that said propos ed plat, together with the plans and specifications for improvements there in, have been approved by the Department of Public Works under date of December 16, 1953; the City Council does hereby approve said proposed plat on the following conditions (1) All of such improvements shall be install ed in conformance with the Plat Ordinance (No 44) of the City of Livonia and the rules and regulations of the Department of Public Works, within a period of two years from the date of this resolution• (2) That the inst allatio n of such improvement s shall be super vis ed and inspected by the Department, of Public Works and such im- provement s shall not be considered as having been satisfactorily installed and until the re is filed with the Council a Certificate as provided in Section 14 of said Ordinance No. 44; (3) That the City Clerk is not authorized to affix her signature to said Plat until either said improvements have been satis- factorily installed or, in lieu thereof, there is filed with her by said proprietors a bond to the City of Livonia, in such form as may be app roved by the City Attorney, and in the following amount• $92,500.00; and until all inspection fees and other charges due to the City of Livonia have been fully paid, and (4) On full compliance with the above three conditions and with the provisions of said Plat Ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to affix her signature to said Plat as evidence of this approval. Edgar, Grimm, Bower, Whitehead, Carey and Wolfe NAYS. None Page 1434 • • With the consent of all members present, the matter of approving the last available Class C license was taken off the table for discussion. Councilman Whitehead proposed a method of arriving at some agreement on this subject, and such method was informally approved by all of the members present A brief recess was called following which the meeting was resumed with all members of the Council present except Councilman Taylor By Councilman Whitehead, seconded by Councilman Grimm, it was #998 RESOLVED that, pursuant to the request of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission received on or about May 28, 1952, and on consideration of the list of applicants for Class C licenses attached to such request and supplemental lists received from the Commission; and on consideration of the report and recommendations of the Livonia Police Department, the City Council does hereby approve the issuance of an additional Class C liquor license to Donald Wilson, 9300 Middlebelt, address as given in application, later changed to 33115 Five Mile Road, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith forward this decision to the Michi4An Liquor Control Commission A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result: AYES Edgar, Grimm, Bower, Whitehead, Carey and Wolfe NAYS: None On motion of Councilman Grimm, seconded?by Councilman Whitehead and unanimously adopted, this 115th regular meet' " of the Council of the City of Livonia was adjourned to Thursday, Ap ' - , 1954, at 8.00 P M , the time of this adjournment being 9.50 P M 4'0 W.
