PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF
LIVONIA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
DECEMBER 1, 1954 AND ENDING NOVEMBER 30, 1955
On November 1, 1954, the above public hearing was held at 33001 Five Mile
Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council,
John T Daugherty Roll was called with the following result: Present— John T.
Daugherty, David L Jones, Harry R Killam, Rudolf R Kleinert, John W Whitehead,
Nettie Carey and Wilson W. Edgar. Absent-- None.
President Daugherty stated that the hour of 8:07 P M., having arrived,
a public hearing would then be held on the proposed budget of the City of Livonia
for the fiscal year commencing December 1, 1954, and ending November 30, 1955,
pursuant to Sections 4 and 5, Chapter VII of the Charter of the City of Livonia
The City Clerk presented to the Council satisfactory evidence that proper notice
of such public hearing had been duly published at least one week in advance of
such hearing by the City Clerk in the Livo ni an, the official newspaper, and that
there had been full compliance with the above provisions of the Charter.
The following people. Michael Costello, 18845 Merriman Road, Robert
Karr, 20190 Hubbard and James W Orr, 18940 Westmore, asked certain questions
and made certain statements, suggestions and objections, all of which were care–
fully considered by the Council
President Daugherty declared that, it appearing that no further comments
were being offered, the public hearing on the Budget would be closed at 8:140 P. M
