OF THE LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION
The 623rd regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the third floor conference room
at City Hall on Thursday, March 8, 2007 and called to order by Chairman Kevin Priddy.
PRESENT: Commissioners Kevin Priddy, Gordon Draper, Thomas Kerr, Amy Kirksey, Gordon StJohn, Joe
Steele and Sergeant David Strait.
The Commission reviewed the minutes of the meetings of January 11, 2007 and February 8, 2007.
Upon a motion by Mr. Kerr, seconded by Ms. Kirksey, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, That the commission minutes for January 11, 2007 and February 8, 2007 be approved as
submitted.
The commission discussed with Mrs. Helene Heaton, 14979 Six Mile, Mr. Heaton's request for parking
permit stickers for residents vehicles who live where NO PARKING 8:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. signs have been
installed. The chairman stated this request has been brought to the commission before but the
commission does not have the authority to issue such permits on a public road.
Upon a motion by Mr. Steele, seconded by Ms. Kirksey, and unanimously adopted, it was
01-07 RESOLVED, That the commission wil I take no further action on this matter.
The commission reviewed the Traffic Control Survey Recommendations submitted by Sergeant Dave
Strait.
Upon a motion by Mr. StJohn, seconded by Mr. Draper, and unanimously adopted, it was
02-07 RESOLVED, That the commission approves the Traffic Control Survey Recommendations regarding
Sections, 3, 4, 5 and 6 as follows:

The commission reviewed the request by Thomas J. Hendricks, 17604 Francavilla, for installation of NO
PARKING signs on Francavilla from Myron to Vacri. The chairman stated that he had discussed this
matter with Mr. Hendricks at the February meeting.
Upon a motion by Mr. St. John, seconded by Ms. Kirksey, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, That the commission approves the installation of NO PARKING signs on Francavilla from
Myron to Vacri.

The commission received and filed the following:
Copy of correspondence received from Robert J. Schram, City Engineer to Robert DeCorte, Traffic
Improvement Association, for a study of a proposed traffic signal at Victor Parkway and Eight Mile Rd.
Copy of letter received from Frederick J. Pilgrim, Assistant Engineer of Traffic Operations, Wayne
County, concerning signalization of the lay Road - Merriman Rd. intersection.
Upon a motion by Mr. St. John, seconded by Mr. Draper, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, That the meeting be adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
