Their concerns were safety of residents, truck volume, speeding, open-air cargo, and general noise and vibrations causing potential damage to homes. He states that the closure of I-96 and the construction at St. Mary Mercy Hospital (Levan Road provides a direct route to the construction area) caused the volume of truck traffic. "No Track' signs are posted on Levan Road and police respond and enforce violations. Also, this group (incorrectly) believed the city would arbitrarily remove the posted "No Track' signs. Sgt. Boitos informed the committee and audience that signed city documents exist designating Levan Road as a "non -track route" and this is supported by a TCO (traffic control order) for the existing signs. Further, neither Todd nor Sgt. Bums could find any information indicating that the TCO would be rescinded. Todd also informed the group that Levan Road is on the schedule to be rehabilitated during 2015 and existing signs would be replaced and upgraded.
