The 95th Special Meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on Thursday, February
28, 2008. The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m.
Members Present via conference call: Harry C. Tatigian, Chairperson
Charlotte S. Mahoney, Commissioner
Members Absent: Ron E. Campau, Commissioner

The Chairperson stepped down to second the following motions:
Upon a motion by Ms. Mahoney, seconded by Mr. Tatigian and adopted, it was
08-40 RESOLVED, That having reviewed the request for approval of the
contract between the City of Livonia and AFSCME Union Local 192, the Civil
Service Commission does hereby approve the contract between the City of
Livonia and AFSCME Union Local 192 for the period December 1, 2007 through
November 30, 2010, to be submitted to City Council for their review and
approval.
Upon a motion by Ms. Mahoney, seconded by Mr. Tatigian and adopted, it was:
08-41 RESOLVED, That having reviewed the memorandum from Robert
F. Biga, Human Resources Director, dated February 27, 2008, as approved by
Mayor Jack Kirksey, requesting approval of the salary and benefit adjustments
for Administrative & Professional, Exempt and Confidential Classifications for
the period December 1, 2007 through November 30, 2010, the Civil Service
Commission does hereby approve the salary and benefit adjustments and
submits same to City Council for their review and approval.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the salary increase shall be
retroactive to December 1, 2007, for all employees on the payroll as of the date
approved by the City Council.
RESOLVED, That the special meeting be adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
