HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1950-07-19 17 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING COT':`_''7ISSION OF T E CITY OF LIVONIA The special meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Livonia was held on July 19, 1950, at the City Hall, 33110 Five Me Road, Livonia, Michigan. The meeting was called to order at approximately 8:15 P.M. by the Chairman, Mr. George Bentley. Roll was called with the following result : Members present : George Bentley Robert Maclntyre Harold Bower Clarence Jahn Edwin Conway Carson Johnston Dallas Hay Helen Byers Members absent: Ci alter Russell Secretary Helen Byers read the minutes of the special meeting held on the 12th of July, 1950. The Chairman asked for corrections. Mr. Carson Johnson informed the Secretary that the report from the City Attorney regarding Public Hear- ing should be as follows : "The Chairman signed notices for seven changes in classifications and that the hearing was before the Planning Commission on August 2, 1950; also, that the resolution instructing the Secretary to write to The Detroit Edison Company, regarding the change in name of street now known by both Purvis and Grove Drive, should have includes' a letter to the 'Wayne County Road Commission. " Upon motion duly made, seconded, and carried, it was RESOLVED, to accept the minutes of the July 12th meeting as corrected. The Secretary presented Petitions rr8 and t9 to change Zoning classifications. Upon motion made by Mr. Carson Johnston, seconded by Mr. Edwin Conway, and unanimously carried, it was, RESOLVED, to table Petitions 7-r8 and #9 until the next meeting to be held July 26, 1950. 1.7 The Secretary read a proposed budget covering operat- ing expenses from June 1st to December 1, 1950. a I Upon motion duly made by Nr. Carson Johnston, seconded by ijr. Edwin Conway, and unanimously carried, it was RESOLVED, to present the Budget to the City Council and Mayor for approval. There followed an informal discussion on future plans of the City. Upon motion duly made by Er. Carson Johnston, seconded by Yr. Harold Bower, and unanimously carried, it was RESOLVED, that this meeting be adjourned until July 26, 1950. The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:45 P.E. Helen E.
