HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1952-02-20 173 MINUTES OF SPECIAL STUDY MEETING HELD BY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION A special study meeting was held by the Planning Commission on February 20, 1952 at 33110 Five Mile Road. Chairman Bentley called the meetingin order at approximately 8:20 PM. Roll was called with the following result: Members present: Bentley, Byers, Maclntyre, Russell, Hay and Conway Members absent: Jahn and Bower. Also present were Wm Brashear, City Attorney, and Malcolm Waring, Consultant. Upon a motion duly made by Walter Russell, seconded by Dallas Hay, it was RESOLVED, that, it appearing that Subdivision Regulations hereto adopted by the Planning Commission on January 9, 1952 inadvertently were not published in the "Livonian" on January 25, 1952 as provided by resolution, the Planning Commission does hereby direct that Subdivision Regulations be published in full in the"Livonian" on February 22, 1952 and printed copies be made thereof in same manner as ordinances of the City of Livonia; and the resolution passed on 1-9-52 is hereby amended to conform to this resolution. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing with the following result: AYES: Maclntyre, Russell, Hay, Conway, Bentley, Byers NAYS: None There was an informal discussion as to how to inform the City Council and Board of Appeals of this tentative zoning ordinance and receive their recommendations back to the Planning Commission by March 5, 1952. Each member of the Planning Commission is to study the ordinance until the meeting of March 5, at which time corrections are to be made. Upon a motion duly made by Edwin Conway, seconded by Dallas Hay and carried unanimously, it was RESOLVED, that Waring and Johnson be and hereby are authorized to prepare 20 copies of tentative Zoning Ordinance for the secretary to mail to each member of the City Council, Zoning Board of Appeals, Mayor and Bureau of Inspection with a letter asking for their corrections and recommendations to be returned to the Planning Commission secretary by March 5, 1952. At approximately 9:30 PM, Walter Russell left the meeting. At approximately the same time Harold Bower arrived. Upon a motion duly made by Dallas Hay, seconded by Edwin Conway, it was RESOLVED, that the next special meeting for correction of the tentative Zoning Ordinance be held on Wednesday, March 5, 1952. 175 A roll call vote on the foregoing resulted in the following: AYES: Maclntyre, Bower, Hay, Conway, Bentley, Byers. NAYS: None Upon a motion duly made by Dallas Hay, seconded by Edwin Conway and carried unanimously, it was RESOLVED, to adjourn this meeting. C.Cd Helen E.
