Project No. 7108 05/11/07 Fox Creek Golf Course Office Addition Livonia, Michigan INVITATION TO BID General Contractors are invited to submit bids for the Fox Creek Golf Course Office Addition Project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Work consists of a 321 s.f. office space addition to the existing golf course administration building located at 36000 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. The new space is to be created under an existing porch roof and will not require any new roof structure. New perimeter footing will be required however. The new space will be enclosed with light gauge metal framing walls with brick veneer to match the existing building. Bids must be submitted in duplicate on the Bid Form and/or a photocopy of the Bid Form prepared for this Project. Type the words “Bid for Fox Creek Project” on the outside of the envelope containing the Bid. Bids will be opened publicly by the Architect and Owner in the City Council Chambers of City Hall beginning 2:10 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2007. BOND REQUIREMENTS: The following Bonds will be required. Bonds shall be written in the amount of the Contract sum unless otherwise indicated. All bonding companies must be listed in the Department of Treasury’s Federal Register of Approved Sureties Listing. 1. “Performance Bond” covering the faithful performance of the Contract. 2. “Labor and Material Payments Bond” to insure payment of all obligations arising under the Contract. 3. “Five Percent Bid Bond” to insure faithful execution of the Contract in the amount of the bid and in accordance with the Bid Documents. SITE INSPECTION: Bidders site visitation to become familiar with the conditions of this Project is mandatory. PRE BID CONFERENCE: Bidder attendance is recommended at pre-bid conference and “walk through” at the Project site 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Contractors will be required to register at the conference. Clarifications as a result of this meeting will be issued as an Addendum and e-mailed to all registered Contractors following the conference.
