HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1958-01-14 EPFICI 1915 MINUTES OF THE 80TH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA On January 14, 1958 the above meeting was held by the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. Chairman William R. Robinson called the Special Meeting to order at approximately 8:00p.m. Members present: Robert L. Greene Fred A. Lotz H. Paul Harsha. Dennis Anderson William R. Robinson Leonard Kane . Robert Angevine Members absent: Charles Walker Wilfred Okerstrom Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Lotz and seconded by Mr. Kane, it was RESOLVED that, pursuant to a Public Hearing having been held December 10, 1957 on Petition No. Z-241 as submitted by Weld S. Maybee, Jr. and Raymond F. Garrett for a change of zoning in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 29 from M-2 and RUFB to C-2, the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council that Petition No. Z-241 be granted. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: AYES: Lotz and Kane NAYS: Greene, Anderson, Harsha, Angevine and Robinson i Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Greene and seconded by Mr. Anderson, it was #1-12-58 RESOLVE!) that, pursuant to a Public Hearing having been held December 10, 1957 on Petition No. Z-241 as submitted by Weld S. Maybee, Jr. and Raymond F. Garrett for a change of zoning in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 29 from M-2 and RUFB to C-2, the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council that Petition No. Z-241 be denied, and FURTHER RESOLVED, notice of the above hearing was published in the official newspaper, The Livonian under date of November 21, 1957 and notice of which hearing was sent to The Detroit -Edison Company, Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Company, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, The Consumer Power Company, City Departments and petitioners as listed in the Proof of Service. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: AYES: Greene, Anderson, Harsha, Angevine and Robinson NAYS: Lotz and Kane Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Kane and seconded by Mr. Harsha, it was 4 1916 S� tX Cr". ##1-13-58 RESOLVED that, pursuant to a Public Hearing having been held January 7, 1958 the City Planning Commission does hereby grant Application TA34 by Theodore Crantz requesting permission to remove topsoil on Parcels 05G1a2, 05G2b, 05H1a2,H1b,I and 05H2a1 located between Seven Mile Road and Pembroke Avenue approximately 300 feet East of Fitzgerald Avenue in the South 1/2 of Section 5, and FURTHER RESOLVED, that a performance bond be fixed on the above application at $590 per acre and it is recommended that the Bureau of Inspection issue a permit to this effect, and FURTHER RESOLVED, notice of the above hearing was sent to the property owners within 500 feet, petitioner, City Departments as listed in the Proof of Service and recommendation having been obtained from the Department of Public Works under date of January 14, 1958 and from the Police Department under date of January 3, 1958. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: AYES: Greene, Anderson, Kane, Harsha, Angevine and Robinson NAYS: None NOT VOTING: Lotz There was a brief discussion regarding Petitions No. Z-228 (Thomas Roperti- Southwest 1/4 of Section 16), No. Z-230 (John Smaniotto - Northwest 1/4 of Section 21) and Petition No. Z-254 (Henry Koloff - Northwest 1/4 of Section 21). The City Council had reversed the Commission's action on Petitions No. Z-228 and Z-230 and now Petition No. Z-254 would be presented for public hearing soon. On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted this 80th Special Meeting was duly adjourned at approximately 10:32 p. i., January 14, 1958. /i;7 R. L. Angevine, ecretary ATTESTED: William R.
