HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1958-07-29 Page 2116 MINUTES OF THE 90TH SPECIAL MEETING IL: OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY FI WNING On July 29, 1958 the above meeting was held by the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. Chairman William R. Robinson called the Special Meeting to order at approximately 8:10 p.m. Members present: Dennis Anderson, Wilfred Okerstrom, Charles Walker, Robert L. Angevine and William R. Robinson Members absent : Robert Greene, H. Paul Harsha, Leonard Kane, Robert M. Peacock Mr. Charles Pinto, Assistant City Attorney , Mr. David McCullough, City Planner, Mr. Albe Munson, Planning Consultant and Mr. Jack Anderson,assistant to Mr. Munson also were present. Mr. Albert Burke representative for the Burke Building Company was present requesting that final approval be given to the Yale Homes Subdivision #1. The members of the Commission examined the canvas back plat of the portion of the Yale Homes Subdivision to be given final approval. Mr. Pinto explained that the bond for this subdivision would be approved within a few days. Mr. Robinson had suggested that this plat be given final approval at this Special Meeting rather than require Mr. Burke to wait until the next regular meeting which would not be held until August 19, 1958. Iro Mr. Pinto stated that final approval could be given subject to it not being effective until the proper deposit of bond with the City Clerk. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Angevine, supported by Mr. Walker, it was #7-192-58 RESOLVED that, final plat of the Yale Homes Subdivision located in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 32 be given final approval, and FURTHER RESOLVED, inasmuch as it appears on the records that tentative approval of said proposed plat was given by the City Planning Commission on July 23, 1957 and July 15, 1958; and it further appearing that said proposed plat together with the plans and specifications for improvements therein have been approved by the Department of Public Works under date of Sept- ember 12, 1957 and July 18, 1958; and it further appearing that a bond in the amount of $6,000.00 to cover the installation of improvements was established by the City Council, the final plat of the Yale Homes Subdivision is hereby approved on the condition that the proprietor deposit with the City of Livonia on or before August 15, 1958 the required subdivision bond in the amount of p6,000.00, it then appearing that all the con- ditions necessary to the release of building permits will have been met and the Building Department is hereby so notified. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: 1[40 AYES: Walker, Okerstrom, Anderson, Angevine and Robinson NAYS: None The Chairman declared the foregoing resolution adopted. Page 2117 Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Anderson supported by Mr. Angevine it was duly resolved that this 90th Special Meeting be adjourned at approximately 8:35 p.m. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Angevine, supported by Mr. Anderson, it was unanimously adopted to reopen the 90th Special Meeting. Mr. Albe Munson, Planning Consultant presented the Re-evaluation of Zoning Study and the Master Pattern for the City of Livonia to the Commission and those present at the b eginiiing of the meeting. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Walker, supported by Mr. Okerstrom, it was #7-193-58 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission at this time on its own motion does hereby provide that a Public Hearing be held to amend Parts 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the Master Plan in order to bring them up to date. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: AYES: Anderson, Okerstrom, Walker, Angevine and Robinson NAYS: None The Chairman declared the motion is carried and a public hearing will be held to amend the Master Plan of the City of Livonia. 110 Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Angevine, supported by Mr. Walker and unanimously adopted, it was resolved that this 90th Special Meeting be adjourned at approximately 11:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 29, 1958.
