HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1962-06-12 3497 MINUTES OF THE 146TH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF • THE CITY OF LIVONIA On Tuesday, June 12, 1962 the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia held the 145th Special Meeting at the Engineering Building,13325 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan. Mr. Charles W. Walker, Chairman, called the meeting to order at approximately 6:30 p.m. Members present: Charles W. Walker, Robert L. Angevine, James Cameron, James Watson, Jr. , Leonard K. Kane and Edward Milligan Members absent: Robert L. Greene, W. E. Okerstrom and Dennis Anderson Mr. David R. McCullough, City Planner and Mr. Charles Forrest, Assistant City Attorney were present along with two interested persons in the audience. Mr. Angevine was appointed Secretary in the absence of Mr. Okerstrom. Mr. McCullough: The only item on the agenda tonight is Final Approval for Madonna Estates Subdivision located on the Northeast corner of Schoolcraft and Levan Roads in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 20. There was a brief discussion during which it was ascertained that the following I: conditions would be included in the final approval of the Madonna Estates Sub: (1) that any lot less than 110 ft. in length and all lots facing Schoolcraft Road shall have attached garages; (2) that the developer shall supply a letter of credit in a from approved by the City Attorney, pursuant to the City Council's Resolution or bond in lieu thereof; (3) that certain streets be renamed; (4) that the easterly end of the access road be curved in accordance with the design required by the City Engineer. Mr. Forrest at this point, informed the Commission that it was necessary that the bond or the letter of credit be filed prior to approval by the City Planning Commission. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Milligan, supported by Mr. Watson, it was #6-122-62 RESOLVED that, pursuant to the 145th Special Meeting held by the City Planning Commission on Tuesday, June 12, 1962 on the final approval for the Madonna Estates Subdivision, located in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 20, the City Planning Commission does hereby table said approval to allow City Attorney to rule on requirement of having Levan Road paved and to assure that either letters of credit or the surety bond is received prior to approval. call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: Milligan, Watson, Cameron and Angevine Kane and Walker Mr. Walk- the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution is adopted.
