OF THE CITY PLANNING COISSICN OF THE
CITY OF LIVONIA 4229
On Wed., June :4, 1964, the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia
held the 184th Special Meeting at the Engineering Building, 13325 Farmington
Road, Livonia, Michigan. Mr. Walker, Chairman, called the meeting to order
at approd mately 12:05 a.m.
Members present: William Miller, Jr. Peggy Miquelon Bob Whitehead
Charles Walker Donald Fe.L.+ed Ray Tent
James Cameron R. L. Angevine
Members absent: None
Mr. Walker announced the first item on the agenda is the approval of minutes
of meetings held on Tuesday, June 2, 1964 and on Saturday,
June 13, 1964.
Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Whitehead, supported by Mr. Tent and
unanimously adopted, it was
#6-123-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby approve
minutes of meetings held on June 2 and June 13, 1964.
The Chairman declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution is
adopted.
Mr. Walker announced the next item on the agenda is consideration of a
motion to amend Plarnir g Commission resolution #5-80-64 to read
«amend Ordinance 60, as amended, to add Section 4.46 Lots along
Section Line to Article IV."
Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Miquelon, supported by Mr. Angevine, and
unanimously adopted, it was
#6-124-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning commission does hereby determine
to amend and change Resolution No. 5-80-64 adopted by the City
Planning Commission May 19, 1964 to read as follows:
#5-80-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning commission, pursuant to
Section 20.01 of the Zoning Ordinance No. 60 of the City
of Livonia and pursuant to a verbal agreement entered
into between the Planning Commission for the Township of
Plymouth and the Planning Commission for the City of
Livonia with regard to the construction of all buildings
abutting on and adjacent to the section line between said
township and said City, the City Planning Commission does
hereby establish and order that a Public Hearing be held
and that all other steps be taken that may be necessary
to amend the Zoning Ordinance No. 60, as amended, to add
Section 4.46, Lots Along Section Line to Article IV,
wherein all future construction that shall be made on
said section line (Eckles Road) shall back onto same, and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that such amendment shall require
that the depth of lots platted in this area be at least
130 feet with no construction being allowed on the 10
feet of the property immediately adjacent to the right-
of-way along said section line and without changing the
minimum width requirement provided for such lots, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that a hearing be held and notice be
given as provided in Section 20.01 of the Zoning
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 60 of the City of Livonia and
that there shall be a report submitted and recommendation
thereon to the City Council.
The Chairman declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution is
adopted.
Mr. Weaker announced the next item on the agenda is consideration of a
motion to hold a Public Hearing pursuant to City Council
Resolution #480-64 to amend Petition Z-631 to read "from RUFB to
RM".
Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Cameron, supported by Mr. Heusted and

#6-125-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Section
20.01 of the Zoning Ordinance No. 60 of the City of Livonia,
does hereby establish and order that a Public Hearing be held
pursuant to a request by the City Council dated June 9, 1964,
Resolution #480-64 to determine whether or not to rezone the
following:

Mr. Wa ser s announced the next item on the agenda is Petition M-322 by
Arthur Solesbee requesting approval to open and operate an
I!: open air fruit and vegetable market next to the Shopper's Fair
located on the Northeast ,corner of Middlebelt and Plymouth Roads
in the Southwest 1/4 of Sebtion 25. Public Hearing 6/16/64,
advisement.

Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Miquelon, supported by Mr. Cameron and
unanimously adopted, it was
#6-126-64 RESOLVED that, pursuant to a Public Hearing having been held
on Tuesday, June 16, 1964 the City Planning Commission does
hereby grant Petition M-322 by Arthur Solesbee requesting
approval to open and operate an 'cpen air fruit and vegetable
market next to the Shopper's Fair located on the Northeast
corner of Middlebelt and Plymouth Roads in the Southwest
1/4 of Section 25, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, notice of the above hearing was sent to
property owners within 500 feet, petitioner and City Depart-
ments as listed in the Proof of Service.
The Chairman declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution is
adopted.
Mr. Walker announced the next item on the agenda is a consideration to send
a a letter to the City Council regarding the multiple study.
Mr. Walker directed Mr. Jacob Driker, Planning Consultant, to submit such
a letter to the City Planning Commission.
Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Miquelon, supported by Mr. Whitehead and
unanimously adopted the City Planning Commission does hereby adjourn the
184th Special Meeting held on Wednesday, June 24, 1964 at approximately
1:00 a.m.
