MINUTES OF THE 186TH SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE

CITY OF LIVCNIA
On Thursday, July 30, 1964, the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia
held the 186th Special Meeting at the Engineering Building, 13325 Farmington Road,
Livonia, Michigan. Mr. Charles W. Walker, Chairman, called the meeting to order
at approximately 8:27 p.m.
Members present: Charles W. Walker Raymond W. Tent Bob R. Whitehead
Donald Heusted James Cameron
Members absent: Robert L. Angevine
Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Whitehead, seconded by Mr. Cameron and unanimously
adopted, it was
#7-141-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish
and order that a public hearing be held to determine whether or
not to amend the Master Thoroughfare Plan to include the location
of the Industrial Road as follows:
A public right-of-way, 60 feet in width, located in the N. 1/2
of Section 26, T. 1 S., R. 9 E., City of Livonia, Wayne County
Michigan, the center line of said right-of-way being more
particularly described as beginning at a point on the East
line of said Section 26 (Middlebelt Road), distant due South
1286.90 feet from N.E. corner of Section 26; proceeding thence
westerly, 706.51 feet to a curve; thence northwesterly 156.68
feet along the arc of a curve having a radius of 100.0 feet;
thence northerly, 50.0 feet to a curve; thence northwesterly,
156.75 feet along the arc of a curve having a radius of 100.0
feet; thence westerly, 2380.41 feet to a curve; thence south-
westerly, 157.26 feet along the arc of a curve having a radius
of 100.0 feet; thence southerly, 958.0 feet to a curve; thence
southwesterly 157.0 feet along the arc of a curve having a
radius of 100.0 feet; thence westerly, 1360.0 feet to a curve;
thence northwesterly, 93.75 feet along the arc of a curve having
a radius of 184.76 feet; thence along the arc of a reverse curve,
63.30 feet having a radius of 124.76 feet; thence westerly 300.0
feet to a point on the west line (Merriman Road) of Section 26,
saidoint being located N. 00 92' 20" W, 481.50 feet from the
W. 1/4 corner of Section 26.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of the time and place of said
public hearing be published in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Livonia and that proper notice by registered mail be
sent to each public utility company and railroad company owning or
operating any public utility or railroad within the City of Livonia
in accordance with the provisions of Act 285 of the Public Acts of
1931, as amended.
The Chairman declared the motion iscarried and the foregoing resolution is
adopted.

Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Tent, seconded by Mr. Heusted and unanimously
adopted, it was
#7-142-64 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish
and order that a public hearing be held to determine whether or not
to amend the Master Thoroughfare Plan to include the location of a
proposed expressway (with a right-of-way of approximately 350 feet
in width) as follows:
A proposed expressway, the center line of which is located
coincidental with the West boundary line of the City of Livonia
(Haggarty Road as established) between the center lines of Five
Mile Road and Eight Mile Road, T. 1 S., R. 9 E., City of Livonia,
Wayne County, Michigan.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of the time and place of said
public hearing be published in i newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Livonia and that proper notice by registered mail be
sent to each public utility compay and railroad company owning or
operating any public utility or railroad mithin the City of Livonia
in accordance with the provisions of Act 285 of the Public Acts of
1931, as amended.
TheChairman declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution is
adopted.
Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Whitehead, supported by Mr. Cameron and
unanimously adopted the City Planning Commission does hereby adjourn the
186th Special Meeting held on Thursday, July 30, 1964 at approximately 9:00 p.m.
