MINUTES OF THE 341st SPECIAL MEETING
HELD BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LIVON I A
On Tuesday, February 23, 1982 the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia
4' held its 341st Special Meeting in the Livonia City Hall , 33000 Civic Center Drive,
Livonia, Michigan.
Mr. Daniel R. Andrew, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m.
Members present: Daniel R. Andrew Lee R. Morrow Sue Sobolewski
Joseph J. Falk Judith Scurto Donald Vyhnalek
Jerome Zimmer Donna Naidow Herman Kluver
Members absent : None
Messrs. John J. Nagy, Planning Director; H. G. Shane, Assistant Planning Director;
and Ralph H. Bakewell , Planner IV, were also present.
On a motion duly made by Mrs. Scurto, seconded by Mr. Morrow and unanimously adopted,
it was
#2-25-82 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby determine
to remove from the table Petition 82-1-1-1 as submitted by Anthony
Skover, Thomas O' Rourke & Louie Mancinelli to rezone property
located on the east side of Haggerty Road between Seven Mile and
Phillips Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, from M-1 to C-2.
1l4' Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution

On a motion duly made by Mr. Morrow and seconded by Mrs. Sobolewski , it was
#2-26-82 RESOLVED that, pursuant to a Public Hearing having been held on
February 2, 1982 on Petition 82-1-1-1 as submitted by Anthony Skover,
Thomas O' Rourke & Louie Mancinelli to rezone property located on the
east side of Haggerty Road between Seven Mile and Phillips Road in
the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, from M-1 to C-2, the City Planning
Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council that Petition
82-1-1-1 be approved for the following reasons:
(1) The proposed zoning district will provide for uses which are
generally consistent with the Future Land Use Plan.

(2) The proposed zoning district will provide for uses which are
compatible to and in harmony with the existing and planned
x uses in the area.
(3) The proposed zoning district will provide for uses which are
needed in the City of Livonia and surrounding areas.
1 (4) The proposed zoning district will not be a detriment to the
future development of adjacent lands consistent with the
Ili: Future Land Use Plan.
FURTHER RESOLVED that, notice of the above Public Hearing was given
in accordance with Section 23.05 of Zoning Ordinance #543, as amended.

A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following:
AYES: Morrow, Naidow, Sobolewski , Vyhnalek, Falk, Zimmer, Andrew
NAYS: Kluver, Scurto
4 Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
4 adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Morrow, seconded by Mrs. Sobolewski and unanimously adopted ,
it was
#2-27-82 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby determine
to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Article VI of the Planning
Commission Rules of Procedure regarding the seven day period concern-
ing effectiveness of Planning Commission resolutions in connection
with Petition 82-1-1-1 as submitted by Anthony Skover, Thomas O' Rourke
& Louie Mancinelli to rezone property located on the east side of
Haggerty Road between Seven Mile and Phillips Road in the Southwest
1/4 of Section 6, from M-1 to C-2.
Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mrs. Naidow and seconded by Mr. Vyhnalek, it was
#2-28-82 RESOLVED that, the minutes of the 427th Regular Meeting held by
the City Planning Commission on February 16, 1982 are approved.
40' Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
} adopted.
4 On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted , the 341st Special Meeting
held by the City Planning Commission on February 23, 1982, was
adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
