MINUTES OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN
A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia, Michigan,
was held on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan at 11:30 A.M., at which time and place the following
members of said Commission were present:
Present: Dennis Wright, Mayor
Don Knapp, City Attorney
Susan Nash, City Clerk
Susan Nash assumed the duties as Chairperson of the Election
Commission.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Knapp, it was:
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Election Commission meeting held
on April 12, 2016 be approved.
Roll Call Vote:
Commissioner Wright: Yes
Commissioner Knapp: Yes
Commissioner Nash: Yes
Upon a motion by Commissioner Wright, supported by Commissioner
Knapp, and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that the Receiving Board, Election Inspectors, and
Chairpersons listed on the scheduled list hereto, and made part of these
minutes, are duly appointed to the Election Board for the City General
Election to be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Upon a motion by Commissioner Knapp, supported by Commissioner
Wright, and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that if any of the Election Inspectors on the official,
approved list for this election cannot complete their assignment
because of unforeseen circumstances, they will be replaced by a fully
trained, experienced Election Inspector from the list of workers that is
entered into QVF and is contained on the master list.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Wright, supported by Commissioner
Knapp, and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that the compensation for the day of Tuesday, August 2,
2016, shall be $140.00 for each inspector, $170.00 for each Co-
Chairperson, $190.00 for each Chairperson and $240.00 plus mileage
for a Roving Chairperson. Additionally, Absentee Counting Board
Inspectors will receive $150.00 and Counting Board Chairpersons will
receive $180.00. Part-time Inspectors will receive compensation at the
rate of $10.00/hour. Further, persons using their cell phone (one (1) per
precinct) will be compensated $10.00 for the day.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Knapp, supported by Commissioner
Wright, and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that the City Clerk and the Clerk’s office staff should
prepare all election precinct supplies and certified ballot containers for
use in the Tuesday, August 2, 2016, State Primary Election.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Wright, supported by Commissioner
Knapp, and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that the City Clerk and the Clerk’s office staff will perform
the preliminary logic and accuracy testing on all M-100 Tabulators and
Automark ballot marking devices prior to the election, for use in the
Tuesday, August 2, 2016, State Primary Election.

Upon a motion by Commissioner Knapp, seconded by Commissioner
Wright, and unanimously adopted, this meeting of the Election Commission of the
City of Livonia was adjourned at 11:47 A.M., July 21, 2016.
