CONSENT AGENDA
1. AWARD OF BID: Department of Parks and Recreation, re: for construction of
Phase II of the proposed Dog Park at Bicentennial Park, from budgeted funds.
2. REQUEST TO APPROVE PROPOSED RATES FOR THE DOG PARK AT
BICENTENNIAL PARK: Department of Parks and Recreation, re: with access
tentatively scheduled from November 2017 through January 31, 2019.
3. AWARD OF BID: Public Service Division, re: for consultant services for the
replacement of the City Hall Air Handling Unit, from budgeted funds.

TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT, NATURAL RESOURCES AND WASTE
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE: Council Vice President Brandon Kritzman, re:
same.
5. AWARD OF BID: Public Service Division, re: for removal, disposal and
replacement of Air Intake Louvers at the Bennett Library, from budgeted funds.
6. AWARD OF BID: Public Service Division, re: for the 2017 Park Tree and Stump
Removal Program, from budgeted funds.
7. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) 2017 CASE 580SN
LOADER/BACKHOE THROUGH THE NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE
(NJPA) PROGRAM: Public Service Division, re: to be used for leaf program, road
repairs, snow removal, loading salt, maintaining the Glendale property, as well as
moving, stacking and loading of materials for delivery, from budgeted funds.
8. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) THOMPSON
WATER PUMP THROUGH THE NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE (NJPA)
PROGRAM: Public Service Division, re: to replace current pump used by the
Water and Sewer Department, from budgeted funds.

9. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as
amended: Department of Law, re: to amend Chapter 20 (Public Lands), of Title
12, Section 110, to clarify the requirement relative to pets on leashes at City parks
to ensure that the Code of Ordinances does not prohibit conduct authorized in the
dog park.

10. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as
amended: Department of Law, re: to amend Chapter 4 (Dogs), of Title 6, Section
040, to clarify the requirement relative to pets on leashes at City parks to ensure
that the Code of Ordinances does not prohibit conduct authorized in the dog park.

11. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended:
Department of Law, re: Petition 2017-05-01-02, submitted by Brian Duggan, on
behalf of Soave/Oro Construction, L.L.C., to rezone the property located on the
west side of Farmington Road between Pickford and Clarita Roads (18761
Farmington Road), in the Northeast ¼ of Section ¼ of Section 9, from OS (Office
Services) to R-1 (One Family Residential – 60’ x 120’ Lot).

of Law, re: Petition 2017-05-01-03, submitted by Brian Duggan, on behalf of
Soave/Oro Construction, L.L.C., to rezone the property located on the west side of
Farmington Road between Pickford and Curtis Roads 18491, 18489, 18481,
18477, 18451, 18431, 18421 and 18363 Farmington Road), in the Northeast ¼ of
Section 9, from OS (Office Services) to R-1 (One Family Residential – 60’ x 120’
Lot).

13. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Livonia Code, as amended:
Department of Law, re: Petition 2017-04-03-01 submitted by Andres and Shelley
Lesko, request to vacate part of an existing utility easement located on the north
side of Curtis Avenue between Merriman Road and Mayfield Avenue, (31694
Curtis Avenue) in the Northeast ¼ of Section 10.

14. AWARD OF CONTRACT AND PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR THE FOOTING DRAIN DISCONNECTION PROGRAM (FDDP): Public
Service Division, re: to perform all necessary work related to complete this project,
from budgeted funds.
NEW BUSINESS
15. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION AND
EXPENDITURE: Engineering Division, re: for the 2017 Lane Line Marking
Program Contract 17-H in the amount of $15,000.00. (CR 78-17)
