was a decided success. The pro-
ceeds of the bakesale will go to-
wards new equipment being pur-
chased for the Wilcox playground.
The aim of the P.T.A. this year
has been to improve the play-
ground facilities, to give the chil-
dren a better opportunity to play
together in good, clean sport.
Much credit is due the fathers and
the principal Louis Balmes for
their effort in making this pos-
sible. Orchids also to the patient
and untiring mothers working
behind the scenes.
The Wilcox School playground
is in the process of spring re-

The following is a list of work-
ers who are canvasing Rosedale:
Mrs. William Wood, Mrs. John
Perkins, Mrs. Lucius Burk, Mrs.
Archibald Leadbetter, Mrs. Ed-

It is sincerely hoped that the
people in the township will give
as generously as possible in order
that the goal of $320,000 as the
object may be reached by the
Southeastern Michigan Division.
The organization faced a real job
in view of the less favorable
economic conditions and the fact
the Red Cross drive is drawing
to a close along with the Crippled
Children Easter Seal Drive.
Canisters have been placed in
all the schols throughout the
township and in the Livonia
School District, Superintendent
Harry O. Johnson stated that an

As the results of one of the
shortest, but heaviest rainfalls
that has hit Livonia in many

Approximately sixty homess in
Rosedale Gardens had water in

There will be no Pierson meet-

"When that blustery old wind makes the curtains

"Flow come? My new electric blanket, of course.
"M am likes it, too. She sleeps better 'cause she knows
I'm snug and warm no matter what the weather. Sis
(who's pretty smart for a girl) claims bedmaking is
easier. And Dad goes for it because it costs only a few
pennies a week."
Blitaful, healthy slumber is as close as the nearest

of lure virgin wool by firms who created electrically
heated flying clothing, automatic blankets are light
