REGULAR MEETING
WATER & SEWER BOARD
November 7, 2022
The Regular Meeting of the Water and Sewer Board of the City of Livonia, Michigan,
held on Monday, November 7, 2022 was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman
Brett Gierak. Roll was called with the following present:

1. Approval of Minutes dated October 3, 2022
Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6290 11/22 RESOLVED, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May
7, 2018 are hereby approved.

2. Letter dated October 5, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Nicole Cardella, 20339 Parkville
Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Greg Jones
#WS 6291 11/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Cardella the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective November 7, 2022 a One (1) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.

3. Letter dated October 11, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Whitnie Martinez, 18557 Farmington
Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Candy Little
#WS 6292 11/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Martinez the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.

4. Letter dated October 20, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Rashad Mashhood, 20005 Angling
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6293 11/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Mr. Mashhood the Water
and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12)
month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including
all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 20005 Angling will be put on a
“payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings
from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence

within the next thirty days. During the Twelve 912) month payment plan, each
monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.

5. Letter dated November 7, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Wendy Hendon, 33805 Orangelawn
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Candy Little
#WS 6294 11/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Hendon the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 33805 Orangelawn will be put on a

6. Letter dated October 17, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Azeza Awdi, 18673 Renwick
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Candy Little
#WS 6295 11/22 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does deny and will
take no further action on the request of the above customer, due to the fact that
they did not appear at the November 7, 2022 meeting.
A roll call vote was taken:

NAYS:
The Chairman declared the motion carried.
7. Letter dated October 31, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Seniqua Robinson, 35182 Parkdale
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Candy Little
#WS 6296 11/22 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does table this
matter to the December 5, 2022 meeting at which time the resident is able to
appear. All penalties will be held until that time.

8. Letter dated October 27, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Debbie Mulder, 14644 Blue Skes
Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6297 11/22 RESOLVE, the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant
effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the
account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time.
All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that
if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees
held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned
to the account.

#WS 6298 11/22 RESOLVE, the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant
effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the
account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time.
All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that
if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees
held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned
to the account.

#WS 6299 11/22 RESOLVE, the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant
effective November 7, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the
account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time.
All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that
if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees

The next meeting of the Water and Sewer Board is scheduled for Monday, December 5,
2022 at 5:00pm.
Upon a motion by Greg Jones, seconded by Valerie Jackson, the meeting was
adjourned at 6:00pm.
