REGULAR MEETING
WATER & SEWER BOARD
December 5, 2022
The Regular Meeting of the Water and Sewer Board of the City of Livonia, Michigan,
held on Monday, December 5, 2022 was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman
Brett Gierak. Roll was called with the following present:

1. Approval of Minutes dated November 7, 2022.
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6303 122/22 RESOLVED, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held
November 7, 2022 are hereby approved.

2. Letter dated November 10, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - John Nickols, 28553 N. Clements Cir
Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs
#WS 6304 12/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Mr. Nickols the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective December 5, 2022 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 28553 N. Clements Cir will be put
on a “payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly
billings from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the

residence within the next thirty days. During the Twelve (12) month payment plan,
each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.
The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated November 15,
2022 in the amount of $62.31.
A roll call vote was taken:

3. Letter dated October 31, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Seniqua Robinson, 35182 Parkdale
Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Greg Jones
#WS 6305 12/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Robinson the Water
and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective December 5, 2022 a Twelve (12)
month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including
all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.

4. Letter dated November 18, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Alexander O’Chel, 28550 Joy
#WS 6306 12/22 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does deny and will
take no further action on the request of the above customer, due to the fact that
they did not appear at the December 5, 2022 meeting.
Motioned by Rich Skaggs seconded by Candy Little
A roll call vote was taken:

5. Letter dated November 29, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Hardy Hunter, 29630 Mark Lane
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6307 12/22 RESOLVE, the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant
effective December 5, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the
account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time.
All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that
if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees
held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned
to the account.

6. Letter dated November 18, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Nicholas Meyers, 29110 Sunnydale
Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6309 12/22 RESOLVE, the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant
effective December 5, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the
account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time.

The next meeting of the Water and Sewer Board is scheduled for Monday, January 9,
2023 at 5:00pm.
Upon a motion by Rich Skaggs, seconded by, Candy Little, the meeting was adjourned
at 5:30 pm.
