SPECIAL MEETING
_April 13, 1950
of a special meeting of the Zoning Board, held in
Hall, April 13th, 1950.
present ° Carson Johnston, George Bentley and Walter
The meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. by Chairman
Johnston.
This meeting was called to discuss the petition of property
owners in New Detroit Subdivision for a change in Zoning cle ssi-
fication. from a 0 District to a "B" District, and to also include
the property West.of Deering,
Chairman Johnston explained. that this petition was referred
to this Board by the Township Board, and that it was the custom.
of this Board then to either deny the petition or accept it; and
set a date for a public hearing.
Mr. Johnston then spoke of how the Zoning was put in
originally - that of the 136 homes in New Detroit, only 26 were
in "Ft" classification the balance of 110 being less than
800 square feet or "Ct classification.
A group of residents from this district were present and
discussion. followed pro and con_ - no decision could be reached
and it was finally decided to table this petition..
The meeting was adjourned by Chairman Johnston at 9:05 P.M.
