The Regular Meeting of the Water and Sewer Board of the City of Livonia, Michigan,
held on Monday, October 2, 2023 was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman Brett
Gierak. Roll was called with the following present:

Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6423 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Magill the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Sixteen (16) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 9920 Arden will be put on a “payment
plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings from now
on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence within the
next thirty days. During the Sixteen (16) month payment plan, each monthly bill is
to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 & 2024 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account
is in good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan
agreement.

Request for Consideration of Bill - Mary Valentic, 9924 Clements Cir E
Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Candy Little
#WS 6424 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Valentic the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 an Eighteen (18) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 9924 Clements Cir E will be put on
a “payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly
billings from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the
residence within the next thirty days. During the Eighteen (18) month payment
plan, each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.

Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 & 2024 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account
is in good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan

#WS 6425 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Bodnar the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 11033 Merriman will be put on a
“payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings
from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence
within the next thirty days. During the Twelve (12) month payment plan, each
monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.
The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated September 14,
2023 in the amount of $18.55.

Request for Consideration of Bill - Maggline Betts, 14735 Gary Lane
Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs
#WS 6426 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Betts the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Twenty-Three (23)
month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including
all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. It is furter established that
the resident will pay a minimum of $200 per month.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 14735 Gary Lane will be put on a
“payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings
from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence
within the next thirty days. During the Twenty-Three (23) month payment plan,
each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 & 2024 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account
is in good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan
agreement.
The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated September 14,
2023 in the amount of $237.00.

Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all

this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration

#WS 6428 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Lewis the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Six (6) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 16776 Ryan will be put on a
“payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings
from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence
within the next thirty days. During the Six (6) month payment plan, each monthly
bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.
The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated September 14,
2023 in the amount of $35.10.

Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.

this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration

Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Thirty (30) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 19366 Weyher will be put on a
“payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings
from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence
within the next thirty days. During the Thirty (30) month payment plan, each
monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 & 2024 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account
is in good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan
agreement.

new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.

take no further action on the request of the above customer, due to the fact that
they did not appear at the October 2, 2023 meeting.

18. Letter dated September 27, 2023 from Superintendent of Public Service, Subject:
Request for Consideration of Bill - Daniel Moore, 31717 Bretton
Motioned by Rich Skaggs seconded by Valerie Jackson
#WS 6439 10/23 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does table this
matter to the November 6, 2024 meeting at which time the resident is able to
appear. All penalties will be held until that time.
In addition, the Board does hereby withhold any qualifying past due account
balance from being transferred to the 2023 Winter property taxes.

#WS 6440 10/23 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Gunsell the Water and
Sewer Board does hereby grant effective October 2, 2023 a Twelve (12) month
extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all
new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during
this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account.
At the request of the petitioner, the account at 32611 Ohio will be put on a “payment
plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings from now
on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence within the
next thirty days. During the Twelve (12) month payment plan, each monthly bill is
to be paid in full and on time.
Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be
assigned to the 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in
good standing and fulfilling their obligations if under a payment plan agreement.
The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated September 25,
2023 in the amount of $687.61.

this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration
date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees
