HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-03-13 st MINUTES OF THE 821 REGULAR MEETING LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION stth The 821 Regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the 5 Floor Gallery of City Hall on Thursday, March 13, 2025; it was called to order by Chairperson Jim Policelli at 7:31 p.m. PRESENT: Jim Policelli, Yara Racine, Gordon St. John, Tom Wrenbeck, John Katers, Sgt. Paul Walters of the LPD Traffic Bureau ABSENT: Rebekah Farabaugh, Jim Keller, and City Engineer Todd Zilincik VISITORS: Mike Testa Agenda Item 1: February Minutes The minutes of the February 13, 2025 meeting were reviewed. A motion to approve February minutes as written was offered by Commissioner Wrenbeck with support from Commissioner St. John. It was voted upon unanimously that 25-408 RESOLVED, the minutes from the February 13, 2025 meeting were approved as written Agenda Item 2: Levan Road Pavement Marking Update The commission received an email from Livonia Public School (LPS) representative informing us that a purchase order has been issued for lighting enhancement in the island on Levan Road at Hoover School. This lighting enhancement should be completed during the month of April. Additionally, the commission reviewed the updated drawing that was provided to us on by City Engineer Todd Zilincik on March 7, 2025. After an open discussion, reviewing all road markings and enhancements that were previously identified, the commission was in full agreement that the necessary changes that were identified and are now satisfactory completed. A motion from Commissioner John Katers with support from Commissioner Tom Wrenbeck; it was voted unanimously that: 25-409 RESOLVED, the Levan Road Pavement Marking Plan from Engineering firm Hubbell, Roth & Clark inc.(HRC) dated February 28, 2025 modified and presented electronically via e-mail to us from City of Livonia Engineer Todd Zilincik on March 7, 2025, is approved as presented. The commission will continue to review the March 7, 2025 approved drawing identifying the proper location and type of signs that may need to be installed, relocated or replaced as necessary to properly identify this location. All necessary traffic control orders (TCO) will be issued. Open Forum - No further business or comments.
