MINUTES OF THE TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-NINTH
SPECIAL MEETING OF APRIL 26, 2000

On April 26, 2000, the above special meeting was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of
the Council at 8 35 p m.
Roll was called with the following result: Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Jack
Engebretson, Val I Vandersloot, John J Walsh, John R. Pastor and Maureen Miller
Brosnan
Absent: None
Elected and appointed officials present. Jack E Kirksey, Mayor; Joan
McCotter, City Clerk, Barbara Scherr, Assistant City Attorney; Robert Beckley, Director
of Public Works, and Brian Wilson, Assistant Superintendent of Public Service
On a motion by Duggan, seconded by Laura, and unanimously adopted, it
was
#315-00 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from
Waste Management of Michigan, Inc , received in the Office of the City
Clerk on April 24, 2000, the Council does hereby approve an extension of
the current contract with Waste Management of Michigan, Inc , for solid
waste disposal for a period of ninety (90) days from April 2, 2000 through
July 1, 2000, with all other terms and conditions of the existing contract,
and initial extension, to continue to apply through July 1, 2000
A Letter of Understanding from the Public Service Division, dated April 24,
2000 re the extension of the contract between the City of Livonia and Waste
Management of Michigan, Inc , for solid waste disposal, was received and placed on file
for the information of the Council

On a motion by Duggan, seconded by Laura, and unanimously adopted,
the Special Council Meeting of the City of Livonia was adjourned at 8 38 p.m , April 26,
2000
