HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1999-08-09 IDD 75 31777 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REQUEST TO ESTABLISH AN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FOR R. L. SCHMITT CO. INC. FOR EXPANSION OF THEIR PLANT, THE ADDITION OF NEW MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT AND TO INCREASE EMPLOYMENT AT THEIR FACILITY LOCATED AT 34506 GLENDALE, ENCOMPASSING AN AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 1.12 ACRES LYING IN THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 28, HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "PROPOSED CITY OF LIVONIA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 75". On August 9, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at 7 00 p m Present: John Pastor, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Maureen Miller Brosnan and Jack Engebretson. Absent: John Walsh and Val Vandersloot. President Engebretson stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether this City Council should approve the request to establish an Industrial Development District for W L. Schmitt Co , Inc., for expansion of their plant, the addition of new manufacturing equipment and to increase employment at their facility located at 34506 Glendale, encompassing an area of approximately 1 12 acres lying in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 28, hereinafter referred to as "Proposed City of Livonia Industrial Development District 75" There were five (5) persons present on these matters Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
