PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO TITLE 2, CHAPTER
100 (THE LIVONIA CABLE TELEVISION REGULATORY ORDINANCE) OF THE
LIVONIA CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING SECTION 025
AND AMENDING SECTIONS 010, 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, AND 070 SO
THAT THE ORDINANCE APPLIES TO MULTIPLE PROVIDERS OF CABLE
TELEVISION SERVICES AND REFLECTS CHANGES IN FEDERAL LAW
ENACTED IN 1984 AND 1996 WITH RESPECT TO TYPES OF VIDEO
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND CHANGES IN REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF THE
LOCAL FRANCHISING AUTHORITY. (CR 565-99)
On September 27, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson
at 7 32 p m Present: John Walsh, Val Vandersloot, John Pastor, Brian Duggan,
Maureen Miller Brosnan and Jack Engebretson. Absent: Joe Laura.
President Engebretson stated that this was a public hearing on the proposed
amendment to Title 2, Chapter 100 (The Livonia Cable Television Regulatory
Ordinance) of the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as amended, by adding Section 025 and
amending Sections 010, 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, and 070 so that the Ordinance applies
to multiple providers of cable television services and reflects changes in Federal law
enacted in 1984 and 1996 with respect to types of video service providers and changes
in regulatory authority of the local franchising authority
There were nineteen (19) persons present on these matters.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 55 p m , Monday, September 27,
1999
