MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING
PETITION 98-12-1-23 BY CHARLES P ELMASIAN AND JOHN K. HARRIS
REQUESTING TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF FIVE MILE ROAD BETWEEN SANTA ANITA AND CAVELL
AVENUES IN THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 24 FROM RUF TO
R-2 (RURAL URBAN FARM — 1/2 ACRE LOTS TO ONE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL—70' X 120' LOTS). (CR 210-99)
On May 17, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Vice President Walsh at 7 00 p m
Present: John Walsh, John Pastor and Joe Laura Absent: Val Vandersloot, Brian Duggan,
Maureen Miller-Brosnan and Jack Engebretson
The Vice President stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether this
City Council should approve Petition 98-12-1-23 by Charles P Elmasian and John K. Harris
requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Five Mile Road between Santa Anita
and Cavell Avenues in the Northeast % of Section 24 from RUF to R-2 (Rural Urban Farm — %
Acre Lots to One Family Residential —70' x 120' Lots) (CR 210-99)
There were three (3) persons present on these matters
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the
Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 59 p m , Monday, May 17, 1999
