HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1999-05-26 NORLIGHT TELECOM 31655 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE TELECOMMUNICATIONS PERMIT APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY NORLIGHT TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC., REQUESTING APPROVAL FOR ACCESS TO AND ONGOING USE OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAYS WITHIN THE CITY FOR A PROPOSED TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM UTILIZING APPROXIMATELY THREE(3) MILES OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHMENT TO THE PERMIT APPLICATION. On May 26, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at 7 00 p m Present: Val Vandersloot, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura and Jack Engebretson. Absent: John Walsh, Maureen Miller-Brosnan and John Pastor The President stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether this City Council should approve the Telecommunications Permit Application submitted by Norlight Telecommunications, Inc., requesting approval for access to and ongoing use of the public right-of-ways within the City for a proposed telecommunications system utilizing approximately three(3) miles of public right-of-way, as more particularly described in the attachment to the Permit Application There were four (4) persons present on these matters. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
