HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1997-09-29 PETITION 1997-08-01-07 30492 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION On September 29, 1997, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Vice President Brosnan at 7.03 p m Present: Michael P McGee*, Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, Joe Laura*, Val Vandersloot and Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent: None *McGee and Laura arrived 7.04 p m Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A Section 5.2934, M C L.A 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance Petition 97-6-1-7 by Mary Omar requesting to rezone property located on the north side of Schoolcraft Road (1-96 Service Drive) between Newburgh Road and Richfield Avenue in the S E. 1/4 of Section 19 from RUF (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots) to OS (Office Services) Petition 97-6-1-8 by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR 419-97, and pursuant to Section 23 01(a) of Zoning Ordinance 543, proposing to rezone property located on the east side of Newburgh Road, south of Ann Arbor Trail in the N W 1/4 of Section 32, from RUF (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots) to R-1 (One Family Residential - 60' x 120' Lots) There were seven (7) persons present in the audience Questions and comments were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
