HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1993-08-11 PETITION 1993-04-01-05 27769 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION On August 11, 1993, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Taylor at 8:04 P.M. Present: Fernon P. Feenstra, Michael P. McGee, Sean P. Kavanagh, Laura M. Toy and Gerald Taylor. Absent: Dale A. Jurcisin and Ron Ochala. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. President Taylor stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.B.A. Section 5.2934; M C.L.A. 125.584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 93-4-1-5, submitted by the Disabled American Veterans requesting to rezone property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road between Lathers Avenue and Angling Road in the S E. 1/4 of Section 1 from C-1 (Local Business) and P (Parking) to R-C (Condominium Residential). Petition 93-2-1-1, submitted by the City Planning Commission pursuant to CR 930-92, proposing to rezone Dohany Subdivision, located south of Seven Mile Road, west of Gillman Avenue in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 12 from RUF (Rural Urban Farm) to R-1 (One Family Residential - 60' X 120' Lots). Petition 93-3-1-4, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR 930-92, proposing to rezone property located on the south side of Northfield Avenue, west of Hix Road in the S.W 1/4 of Section 31 from RUF (Rural Urban Farm) to R-1 (One Family Residential - 60' X 120' Lots). 27770 Petition 93-3-6-1, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR 876-92, to determine whether or not to amend Section 18.58(a) to require site plan approval of City Council for buildings constructed or expanded in OS (Office Service), C-1 (Local Business) and C-2 (General Business) zoning districts; and for general office buildings constructed or expanded in ML (Manufacturing Limited), M-1 (Light Manufacturing) and M-2 (General Manufacturing) zoning districts. Petition 93-3-6-3, submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend Sections 9.07, 10.06, 11.06, 25 07, 26.07 and 30.07 regarding protective walls so as to provide language also referring to greenbelts. There were 21 persons present.
