HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1993-09-27 PETITION 1993-06-01-09 27892 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION On September 27, 1993, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Taylor at 8:13 P.M. Present: Sean P. Kavanagh, Ron Ochala, Dale A. Jurcisin, Fernon P. Feenstra, Michael P. McGee and Gerald Taylor. Absent: Laura Toy. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. President Taylor stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934; M.0 L A. 125.584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance Petition 93-6-1-9, submitted by the City Planning Commission to rezone the land area of Quaker West Park; Quaker Center Park, with the excep- tion of the triangular portion east of Lot 260; and Quaker East Park in the N.W. 1/4 of Section 18 from R-2C to NP (Single Family Residential - 70' X 120' Lots to Nature Preserve) . Petition 93-6-2-15 by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Section 2.03 and Articles IV, V, VI and VII of Zoning Ordinance No 543 regarding definitions of residential lot frontages. Petition 93-6-6-5 by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Sections 14.02 and 14.03 of Zoning Ordinance No. 543 to alter the RE (Research Engineering) district regulations to make them more compatible to current development standards. There were nine persons present Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera- tion by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the of the City Clerk The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 04 p.m , September 27, 1993.
