LMINUTES OF THE TWO HUNDRED TWENTY SECOND SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter 14 of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held January 6, 1992 at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan and was called to order by the Vice President of the
Council at approximately 7:38 P.M Roll was called with the following result:
Present: Laura Toy, Gerald Taylor, Dale Jurcisin, Ron Ochala and Fernon P.
Feenstra. Absent: None.
Elected and appointed officials present: Robert D. Bennett, Mayor;
Harry Tatigian, City Attorney; Joan McCotter, City Clerk; John Nagy, Planning
Director; Raul Galindo, City Engineer; Lee B. Grieve, Chief of Police; Robert
R Bishop, City Treasurer; Robert Beckley, Director of Public Works; Suzanne
Wisler, Director of Community Resources and David N Preston, Director of Finance;
Michael Reiser, Facility Maintenance Supervisor; A. Michael Deller, Chief Librarian
and Elizabeth Todd, Local Officers Compensation Commission.
On a motion by Councilman Jurcisin, seconded by Councilman Taylor,
it was
RESOLVED, having considered a communication from the
City Clerk, dated January 2, 1992, wherein she indicates
that she has appointed Ann Tavolacci, 18415 University Park,
Livonia, Michigan 48152, as Deputy City Clerk, effective
January 1, 1992, the Council does hereby confirm the said
appointment in accordance with Chapter V, Section 9 of the
Charter of the City of Livonia, at the annual salary of
$37,564.80 per annum, commencing from and retroactive to
January 1, 1992, with the same benefits extended to other
full time classified employees.
On a motion by Councilman Feenstra, seconded by Councilman Ochala,
it was,
#6-92 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from
the City Clerk, dated January 2, 1992, wherein she indicates
that she has appointed Ann Tavolacci, 18415 University Park,
Livonia, Michigan 48152, as Deputy City Clerk, effective

January 1, 1992, at an annual salary of $37,564.80 per annum,
commencing from and retroactive to January 1, 1992, with the
same benefits extended to other full time classified employees,
the Council does hereby refer this item to the Committee of the
Whole.
The President relinquished the Chair to Councilman Feenstra at 7:44 p.m.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution to refer with the following
result:
AYES: Toy, Ochala and Feenstra
NAYS: Jurcisin and Taylor
Councilman Feenstra declared the resolution to refer adopted.
On a motion by Councilman Taylor, and seconded by Councilman Jurcisin,
it was,
RESOLVED, that having considered a communication
from the City Treasurer, dated January 2, 1992, wherein
he indicates that he has appointed Elizabeth Todd, 37083
Vargo, Livonia, Michigan 48152, as Deputy City Treasurer,
effective January 1, 1992, the Council does hereby confirm
the said appointment in accordance with Chapter V, Section 9
of the Charter of the City of Livonia, at an annual salary of
$37,564.80, commencing from and retroactive to January 1, 1992,
and with the same benefits extended to other full time classified
employees.
On a motion by Councilman Feenstra, seconded by Councilman Ochala, it was
#7-92 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from
the City Treasurer, dated January 2, 1992, wherein he indicates
that he has appointed Elizabeth Todd, 37083 Vargo, Livonia,
Michigan 48152, as Deputy City Treasurer of the City of Livonia,
effective January 1, 1992, at an annual salary of $37,564.80,
per annum commencing from and retroactive to January 1, 1992,
and with the same benefits extended to other full time classified
employees, the Council does hereby refer this item to the Committee
of the Whole.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution to refer with the following
result:
AYES Toy, Ochala and Feenstra
NAYS: Jurcisin and Taylor.
Councilman Feenstra declared the resolution to refer adopted.

The President resumed the Chair at 7:48 p.m.
lig On a motion by Councilman Ochala, seconded by Councilman Feenstra,
unanimously adopted, this 222nd Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia
was duly adjourned at 7:49 P.M. , January 6, 1991.
