HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1989-09-27 PETITION 1989-05-01-20 25292 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On September 27, 1989, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the Council at 7 00 p m. Present: Robert R. Bishop, Laura Toy, Joan McCotter, Gerald Taylor, Ron Ochala and Dale Jurcisin Absent Fernon P Feenstra. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5 2934; MCLA 125.548), as well as Article XXIII of n'-dinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 89-5-1-20, submitted by Charles Tangora for Marvin Walkon for a change of zoning on property located on the east side of Middlebelt Road between Plymouth Road and the C & 0 Railroad in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 25 from M-1 to C-2, (Light Manufacturing to General Business) the City Planning Commission in its resolution 8-169-89 having recommended to the City Council that Petition 89-5-1-20 be denied. There were approximately seven people present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
