MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On May 1 , 1989, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to
order by the President of the Council at 7 : 02 p.m. Present:
Fernon P. Feenstra, Joan McCotter, Laura Toy, *Robert R. Bishop,
Gerald Taylor, **Ron Ochala and ***Dale Jurcisin. Absent: None.
Councilmen arrived at *7: 03 p.m. , **7 : 04 p.m. , and ***7 : 06 p.m.
respectively.
Pursuant to Section 23 . 06 of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices
fifteen ( 15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in
the area affected by the proposed change and all other require-
ments of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions
set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan
of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5. 2934 ; MCLA
125 . 548) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543 , the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of
Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a
change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 88-11-1-35 , submitted by Charles G.
Tangora, for a change of zoning on property located on
the east side of Farmington Road, north of Plymouth
Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 27 , from M-1 to
C-2 (Light Manufacturing to General Business) .
There were approximately 6 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given
due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 : 48 p.m. , May 1,
1989.
