HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1988-06-29 PETITION 1988-03-01-04 24284 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On June 29, 1988, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 �~~ Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice- President of the Council at 8:08 p.m Present Joan McCotter, Laura Toy, Robert R Bishop, Gerald Taylor, Ron Ochala and Dale Jurcioiu, Absent: Fernon P. Feenstra Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice-President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5 2934, MCLA 125,548) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of N�- Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning 0rdivaoce, Petition 88-3-1-4, submitted by Rev. H L Petty, Pastor for Bethel Baptist Temple for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Six Mile Road between Middlebelt Road and Oporto Street in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14, from C-2 and P S to RUFA, (General Business and Professional Service to Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential) Petition 88-3-1-5, submitted by Alan Gottlieb for U S Homes for a change of zoning of property located south of Eight Mile Road between Merriman and Osmus Avenue in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3 from RUFA to R-2, (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to One Family Residential) Petition 88-3-1-6, submitted by Daniel Ryan for Barbara L. Evans and Janet M. Clugston for a change of zoning of property located on the southeast corner of Brookfield and Lyndon in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 22 from RUF to R-1, (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to One Family Residential) . There were approximately 16 people present Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9.04 p m, , June 29, 1988
