HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1988-10-12 PETITION 1988-07-01-19 24535 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On October 12 , 1988 , the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 7 : 05 p.m. Present: Joan McCotter, Gerald Taylor, *Ron Ochala, Robert R. Bishop, **Laura Toy and ***Dale Jurcisin. Absent: Fernon P. Feenstra. Arrived at *7: 07 p.m. , **7 : 25 p.m. , and ***7: 35 p.m. respectively. Pursuant to Section 23 . 06 of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen ( 15 ) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other require- ments of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921 , as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5.2934; MCLA 125 . 548) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543 , the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. twPetition 88-7-1-19 , submitted by S.E.M.M. Co . for a change of zoning of property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road, east of Shadyside in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 3 , from R-3A and R-7 to C-1 (One Family Residential and Multiple Family Residential to Local Business) . Petition 88-7-1-20 , submitted by William L. Roskelly for a change of zoning on property located on the east side of Merriman Road between Fargo and Pembroke in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 2 from RUFA to R-7 (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to Multiple Family Residential) . There were approximately 83 people present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
