MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On January 11, 1988, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the
President of the Council at 8 00 p m Present: Fernon P. Feenstra, Laura
Toy, Robert R. Bishop, Joan McCotter, Gerald Taylor, Dale Jurcisin. Absent
Ron Ochala
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change
and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543 , the Zoning Ordinance, have
been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921 , as amended, the
Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125 584) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City
of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of
the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 87-10-1-36, submitted by Charles G. Tangora for Kaftan &
Gottlieb Co. for a change of zoning of property located on the Southeast
corner of Seven Mile Road and Merriman Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section
11, from R-3 to P S (One Family Residential to Professional Service) .
Petition 87-10-1-37, submitted by Mayflower Development, Inc , for a
change of zoning of property located on the Southwest corner of Stark Road
and Pinetree in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 33, from P L. to R-9 (Public
Land to Housing for the Elderly) .
There were approximately 35 people present

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera-
tion by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 9 00 p m , January 11 , 1988
