HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1987-05-04 PETITION 1987-02-01-08 23337 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS imeOn May 4, 1987, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 8 05 p m Present Joan McCotter, Fernon P Feenstra, Robert R Bishop, Gerald Taylor, Ron Ochala, Robert E McCann. Absent Robert D Bennett Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the propoed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125 584) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a chagne of the Zoning Ordinance Petition 87-2-1-8, submitted by William Roskelly for Jack Shenkman for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road and on the east and west sides of Newburgh Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 7 and Northwest 1/4 of Section 8, from AG (General Agriculture) to R-3, (One Family Residential) , R-4 (One Family Residential) , R-7 (Multiple Family Residential) and R-8 (High Rise Family Residential) Petition 87-2-1-9, submitted by William Roskelly for Jack Shenkman for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road and on the east and west sides of Newburgh Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 7 and Northwest 1/4 of Section 8 from C-2 (General Business) and AG (General Agriculture) to C-2 (General Business) , C-4 II (High Rise Commercial - 8 Stories) , P 0 I (High Rise Professional Office - 6 Stories) and P 0 II (High Rise Professional Office - 8 Stories) There were approximately 300 people present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera- tion by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk The public hearing was declared closed at 10 30 p m , May 4, 1987 --teikre?tettite- ROBERT F NASH, CITY CLERK
