MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On October 26, 1987, the above hearing was held at the City Hall , 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President
of the Council at 8 04 P M Present Gerald Taylor, Ron Ochala, Joan McCotter,
Fernon P Feenstra and Robert R Bishop Absent Robert E McCann, Robert D.
Bennett
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and
all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled
The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
Iwoin Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921 , as amended, the
Zoning Act (n.S.A. Section 5 2934, MCL A 125 584) , as well as Article XXIII of
Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City
of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the
Zoning Ordinance
Petition 87-6-1-26 submitted by Schneider Development Inc to rezone
property on the South side of Plymouth Road between Newburgh and Eckles Roads in
Section 30 from RUF to R-7 (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to Multiple
Family Dwellings)
Petition 87-7-1-28 submitted by Richard Herbel to rezone property on the
East side of Newburgh, North of Plymouth Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 29
from RUF to P S (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to Professional Service)
There were approximately eleven people present
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council , a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk
