HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1986-12-15 PETITION 1986-08-01-34 23059 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On December 15, 1986, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 9 00 p m Present Robert R Bishop, Joan McCotter, Fernon P. Feenstra, Robert E McCann, Gerald Taylor, Robert D. Bennett, Ron Ochala Absent None Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 534, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as lbwamended, the Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125 584) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance Petition No 86-8-1-34, submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change of zoning of property located on the West side of Osmus, South of Eight Mile Road in Section 3 from M-L to R-1 and R-3A (Manu- facturing Limited to One Family Residential and One Family Residential) and on the east side of Osmus, South of Eight Mile Road in Section 3 from M-1 to R-1 and RUFA (Light Manufacturing to One Family Residential and Rural Urban Farm-One Family Residential) Petition 86-8-1-36, submitted by Jarvis Jones, Greenwood Gardens Nursery, for a change of zoning of proeprty located on the North side of Joy Road between Oxbox and Hartel in Section 36 from C-1 and RUF to C-2 (Local Business District and Rural Urban Farm-One Family Residential to General Business District) limPetition 86-8-1-37, submitted by Joseph H Amico, for a change of zoning of property located on the North side of Schoolcraft between Yale and Ellen in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 21 from R-2 to P L (One Family Residential to Professional Service) 23060 Petition 86-9-1-41, submitted by Jack M Freij , for a change of zoning of property located on the Southeast corner of Seven Mile and Merriman Roads in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11 from R-3 to C-1 (One Family Residential to Local Business) Petition 86-9-1-42, submitted by Duke Associates & Schoolcraft College for a change of zoning of property located on the Southwest corner of Seven Mile Road and the 1-275 Freeway in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 7 from P L to C-2 and C-41I, (Public Land to High Rise Commercial - Eight Stories ) There were approximately 30 people present Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk The public hearing was declared closed at 10 05 p m , December 15, 1986 RO ERT F NASH, CITY CLERK
