MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On May 20, 1981, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 8:38 P M Present: Robert D Bennett, Robert F Nash, Gerald Taylor,
Alice Gundersen, Robert E McCann and Peter A Ventura Absent Robert R Bishop
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S.A. Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
Lpublic hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 80-6-1-21 submitted by Ramon Castaneda for a change of zoning
of property located on the southwest corner of Five Mile Road and Harrison Avenue in
the Northwest 1/4 of Section 24 from C-1 to C-2 (Local Business to General Business )
Petition No 81-2-1-3 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located on the northeast corner of Middlebelt and Six Mile Roads
in Section 12, from RUF to AG (Rural Urban Farm District to General Agricultural District)
Petition No 81-2-1-4 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located on the South side of Eight Mile Road, west of Brentwood
in Section 1, from RUF to AG (Rural Urban Farm District to General Agricultural District)
Petition No 81-2-6-2 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 10.08, 11 09 and 30 09 Front, Side and Rear Yard Requirements of Ordinance
No 543, relating to the parking or storage of merchants' delivery vehicles in
C-1, C-2 and C-3 Zoning District
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 02 P M , May 20, 1981
